Shop Manager

Job Description

• Effectively manage all daily operations of the outlet.
• Ensure that inside and outside areas of the outlet are kept clean, tidy and organized.
• Ensure that the display areas are clean and well organized.
• Ensure that all items are displayed according to type, size, color, etc. and packed accordingly.
• Ensure that deliveries are received complete and prepared for display promptly and efficiently. Controlling the store inventory and ensuring the maintenance of the standards of goods.
• Ensure that the stock room is well maintained, clean and organized.
• Ensure that appropriate number and variety of items are placed on display.
• Plan overtime work to complete certain tasks during closing hours.
• Ensure that customers are satisfied and served with utmost respect. Handle customer’s complaints effectively.
• Process merchandise returns and exchanges as per the policies of the company.
• Report & coordinate with the Operations Manager any issues encountered and suggest solutions. Ensure that all issues, if not completely sorted out, to be minimized in order not to affect the operation of the outlet.
• Ensure that the team members are performing their duties effectively & efficiently.
• Ensure that staff is punctual and consistent. Report to HR Department any staff frequently tardy and absent.
• Schedule staff rosters enabling the proper distribution of manpower within the outlet for smooth running of the operation.
• Ensure that the budgeted manpower is maintained in the outlet and request replacement for resigned staff.
• Counsel any team member found performing below the minimum standard required by the job. Report and coordinate the same with HR Department.
• Recommend & suggest staff for cross-training or promotion for vacant positions in the company.
• Motivate subordinates to perform their jobs well and maintain a pleasant working environment for everyone.
• Uphold the image and build the reputation of the store by ensuring that the team is following the set SOP of the outlet and the BFL Group policies & procedures.
• Ensure that Uniform policy and grooming standard is strictly adhered to by all team members.
• Conduct periodic performance evaluation to subordinates. Report staff with exemplary work performance and suggest the same for commendation.
